Beatles Lennon & McCartney on Tonight Show 1968
May 14 1968 John Lennon and Paul McCartney appearing on the Tonight Show but Johnny Carson was on holiday. The guest host was Joe Garagiola. Videotape doesn't exist but some diehard fan filmed their tv screen with 8mm movie film and another recorded the audio.
